We provide convenient options for our older adult and teen patients who wish to improve the alignment of their smiles!
Misaligned Teeth Hurt More Than Your Confidence
Having a crooked smile can make you feel self-conscious about your appearance. Whether one or all of your teeth suffer from misalignment, it can put your oral health at risk.
Overcrowding, a misaligned bite, and even jaw problems such as TMJD (temporomandibular joint dysfunction), can come from teeth that are out of alignment. Correcting your smile can improve your appearance, give you confidence, and provide oral health benefits.
Invisalign Clear Braces
Traditional braces are unappealing to many of our patients because traditional brackets and wires do not fit into every lifestyle. We offer an alternative using the innovative treatment called Invisalign.
In place of brackets and wires, Invisalign clear braces uses a series of clear aligner trays that apply pressure to your teeth, moving them into alignment over time. The length of your treatment depends on you and how far your teeth need to move to attain a comfortable and esthetic position.
You will wear each set of aligner trays for approximately 22 hours each day, removing them only to eat and to clean your teeth. By complying with treatment recommendations, your treatment will move along and stay on track.
Every two to three weeks, we will recommend that you change out your aligners for the next set in the series. We will also want to see you at regular appointments to make sure your treatment progresses in a timely fashion.
Benefits of Invisalign include:
- Comfortable, smooth aligners
- Removable, making oral care easy
- Discrete and virtually invisible
- Treatment times similar to traditional orthodontics
You should keep your aligners out of a hot car and wash them only with lukewarm water to make sure they do not become distorted.
PowerProx Six Month Braces
If you want to make cosmetic improvements to your smile fast, PowerProx Six Month Braces target only the teeth that are visible when you smile. That means that your treatment will move along quickly and will only take an average of six months to complete.
We use clear braces and a clear memory wire to apply pressure to your teeth, moving them gradually into alignment. Patients who want to avoid lengthy treatment often opt for Six Month Braces.
Maintaining Your Smile
No matter what type of orthodontic treatment you have, an orthodontic retainer is an essential part of maintaining your smile. We will help you protect your investment by arranging for a retainer for you to wear to keep your teeth from shifting back to their original location!
